Tropical Cyclone Liua

helo Liua!No.1 Mobile (talk) 20:28, September 26, 2018 (UTC)

Oh. It actually moved to the South Pacific basin. Anonymous 2.0 (talk) 15:51, September 27, 2018 (UTC)

Remnants of Liua

Long dead, but Liua is a notable one; just like what SHP said in the NIO forum, Liua is the earliest storm to be named in the South Pacific basin. Speaking of South Pacific, why don't we move Liua to that basin's page? Even if Liua came from the Australian basin and recurved back, the fact remains: it received a South Pacific basin name. Anonymous 2.0 (talk) 17:52, October 7, 2018 (UTC)

It would clear up some confusion; I looked at the SPac page, saw nothing, and thought that the wiki had completely ignored poor Liua. Send Help Please (talk) 19:37, October 7, 2018 (UTC)

97P.INVEST

Intriguing, 96P formed some time ago and no mention here. Oh well, 97P is here, coded yellow per JTWC.  ~ Roy25   Talk | Contributions   04:08, November 29, 2018 (UTC)

Don't see it on Tropical Tidbits, but 94P and 95P are still there, the latter of which is expected to move west towards Australia. In any instance, the GFS has been predicting a hurricane-strength storm or two to come in the next week or two on the latest 06Z run of the model, though I'd take some of the stronger intensities with a grain of salt for now. But even if those storms don't get as strong as forecast, the SHem is definitely waking up. Ryan1000 12:23, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

Tropical Depression 03F

Another depression is here, and this is expected to move west a little bit towards Australia, but later turn east and towards the SPac islands. Ryan1000 13:36, December 31, 2018 (UTC)

04F.MONA

Tropical Depression 04F

Two more systems are up in the SPac basin by now, though neither seem to be much as of now. Ryan1000 12:51, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

Tropical Cyclone Mona

This is now TC Mona, but 03F and 05F are done for. Currently north of Fiji and moving south, hopefully flooding isn't bad on the island. Ryan1000 15:02, January 3, 2019 (UTC)

Mona has lost organization recently, as has Penny, but it could still become a strong TS or cat 1 when it nears a landfal in Fiji as it slowly loops around north of the island country for the time being. Ryan1000 00:18, January 5, 2019 (UTC)

Remnants of Mona

Gone. Ryan1000 15:35, January 10, 2019 (UTC)

Tropical Cyclone Neil

Apparently we missed Neil...not that he was that notable though. Ryan1000 15:30, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

08F.NONAME

Tropical Depression 08F

Currently active and moving southwest, but may not last much longer. Ryan1000 15:30, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

Remnants of 08F

Gone. Ryan1000 00:45, February 16, 2019 (UTC)

09F.OMA

Tropical Cyclone Oma

A new storm formed recently, this one is north of New Caledonia and is moving southwest as we speak, Oma may miss them to the west on its current trajectory. Ryan1000 15:30, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

Doesn't seem like anyone's too interested in this one...but Oma expanded a bit and is now just west of New Caledonia, it could deliver heavy rain and surge to the island even if it's not a direct landfall there. Not to mention it's large size already led to moderate to heavy impacts on the northern Islands of Vanuatu. Ryan1000 03:30, February 19, 2019 (UTC)

Severe Tropical Cyclone Oma

Reached this intensity before...Ryan1000 03:54, February 21, 2019 (UTC)

Tropical Cyclone Oma (2nd time)

...weakening back to a regular TC again. Forecast to turn northwest and parallel Queensland while weakening. Ryan1000 03:54, February 21, 2019 (UTC)

Post-Tropical Cyclone Oma

Pretty much gone now, though ex-Oma is still up on TropicalTidbits. Ryan1000 23:46, February 27, 2019 (UTC)

10F.NONAME

Tropical Depression 10F

Currently northeast of 08F and following in its footsteps. Ryan1000 15:30, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

Remnants of 10F

Gone. Ryan1000 00:45, February 16, 2019 (UTC)

11F.POLA

Tropical Cyclone Pola

We now have Pola here. It's moving south, just east of Fiji and could get a little stronger before eventually dissipating after affecting the islands east of Fiji. Ryan1000 17:04, February 26, 2019 (UTC)

Severe Tropical Cyclone Pola

I had a feeling this would intensify beyond TS strength on the Saffir-Simpson Scale...it's now a category 1 storm, passing between Fiji and Tonga. Ryan1000 23:46, February 27, 2019 (UTC)

Tropical Cyclone Pola (2nd time)

Down to a regular TC again. Ryan1000 14:01, March 1, 2019 (UTC)

Post-Tropical Cyclone Pola

Dying over the South Pacific. Ryan1000 10:47, March 2, 2019 (UTC)
