• Michael - Forms near Cape Verde, hits Costa Rica as a Cat 3, crosses over into the Eastern, then Central Pacific basins, hits Hawaii as a Cat. 4, moves into the Western Pacific, peaks as a Cat. 5 with a minimum pressure in the 890s and maximum sustained winds of 190 mph, makes landfall in the Phillipines at that intensity, makes landfall in Thailand as a strong tropical storm, moves through the Bay of Bengal and makes landfall in southern India as a weak tropical storm, becomes a remnant low but regenerates into a minimal hurricane over the Arabian Sea, makes its final landfall in Somalia as a tropical depression, and its leftover moisture moves across Africa to contribute to the development of Tropical Storm Rafael.
